A charity benefit for the Barr Foundation held May 25 in San
Francisco, California, generated more than $10,000 in donations in
less than four hours for the Boca Raton, Florida-based nonprofit
organization, according to President Anthony “Tony” Barr. A $5,000
grant was received from the Jarden/Sunbeam Community Fund, based in
Boca Raton, and another $5,000 in donations from individuals and
for Ertl surgical procedure videos, the book Whole Again, and
Amputee Survival Guide, Barr said.
